The Brine Fly Storytelling Workshops
Curious about taking the stage at The Brine Fly? Attend a workshop to develop and practice delivering your own true story.
Whether or not you intend to take the stage, this workshop will sharpen your creative skills. You don’t have to call yourself a “storyteller” to enjoy this experience. Register and join us at either of the workshops:
Thursday, April 30 | 6:00 - 8:30 PM | Salt Lake City Downtown Library Branch
Saturday, May 30 | 11:00 - 1:30 PM | Glendale Library Branch| RSVP
The Brine Fly: An Evening of Salty Storytelling

Free to attend; ticket required. Bring a friend. Grab a bite. Laugh. Cry. Stay salty.
Join us on June 4 for an evening of salty storytelling. Modeled after the Moth StorySLAM and The Bee, 8 storytellers chosen from the audience will have 5 minutes each to tell a true story on the BRINE FLY theme: what it means to stay (or leave) in the face of economic transition and ecological collapse at Great Salt Lake.
Bring a story about how Great Salt Lake, Utah politics, your family, your health, or your job have influenced your decision to keep calling Utah home (or “fly” away).
Thursday, June 4 | 6:00 - 8:30 PM | Sorenson Unity Center Black Box, Salt Lake City Utah | 1383 S 900 W, SLC, UT 84104
The Brine Fly is hosted by Of Salt and Sand with support from the Salt Lake City Arts Council.
